Fish Camp

This was an easy program to use and I like tyring out the video abilities, although I was only able to do one part with video because my girls kept trying to be in on the pictures. This would be easy enough for third grade children to do after a short instruction from the teacher, and would be a great way to recap a field trip or even a family tree project.

Tabblo: Four seasons of Bethel, Alaska

Bethel is set on the tundra and it is impossible to build a foundation under a house. All buildings are built up on metal columns or wooden beems. As you can see this house in the Kassulyi subdivision demonstrates these columns. ... See my Tabblo>

Tabblo was Farly easy to use, I had ran in to some difficulty but did figure it out. I had down loaded my pictures from filckr and found that it took me directly in to the online view and not the make a book. The online and make a book do not view the same that was one way I was able to tell the difference and find my way around quickly. Tabblo is easy to edit and I loved how the fromating was so flexible it help to make your work with your own creative touch. You can also add as little text as you like so that even kindergarten children could make a class book with teacher guiding and directing the project. This would be great to make literacy projects fun and give the children a seance of accompaniment.

Filckr Slidshow

Created with Admarket's flickrSLiDR.

This was an easy project to do and could be easily used for a recap of a school trip or major project. It is easy enough that I believe even second and third grade children would be able to use this. It would be also a grate tool to help children express their story telling ability, to make English fun and more applicable to how they express their daily lives. This was a great and easy to use tool, this help make education fun!

Poster Project

Wow, that was really fun and easy. This has now encourage me to make some really nice Christmas gifts for the Grandparents. I did see what Skip meant when he said that it is much easy to adjust the page layout before choosing a the format of the project. I had started to look and chose a format that I wanted when I remembered that we needed this poster in Tabloid so I went to change the page layout and it all looked really funny so I decided to start over and do the layout first. That did work a lot better! I don't Know if Skip saw that I had the four seasons of Bethel in the one poster. That what that format had spoke to me, and the center view just shows how cut my little lady can be!

Youth Camp video

This was really fun to do, I found that I had to mix two years together to get a full view of all the actives that have happened at Youth Camp. Once I decided what pictures to use, adding transitions and credits was easy. The hardest part was the music I wanted to make my own beat but when I looked up garageband it looked as if I need to purchase it, so I just looked for some music that I could pull some short clips from. I also try to chose music that was more youth like in sound so that it would match with the theme of the idea. I used the youth camp theme because my husband and I run a youth group and I had been planing on making some kind of slide show to show new youth what camp is all about.

For some reason every time I try to upload my video to this posting it starts to and stops so have a link below were it is uploaded to google video.

Wow, Time flys!

I don't know about you but I remember very well being sixteen and not really caring about much and yet I did. Then being twenty and getting married to my wonderful husband and only three years later having our first child. Now we have two and one will be going to school and we are also most 30. I was once so far away but as we were always told don't rush it, it will come very fast. Looking back boy did it all fly!

Excel Power Point Presentation

This was a fun and educational experience for me. I have not done many presentations with the new version of Power Point. I learned that not all the graphic tools work the same as before, but it was good to see how the new graphics do work. Excel also works differently than previous versions, but it was helpful to become up dated in how the programs have changed. I have found that Microsoft has really changed the way they display the tool bars in the newer version and so if you are not used to using older version then give yourself some extra time to work through projects like this. I often finding myself disoriented on the location of the application I was looking for. I also added a familiar themes song that will help to entertain, Pirates of the Caribbean, I hope this is fun!
